Description

Output filters are used as accessories to all frequency converters for:

  • reducing the danger of overvoltages that arise in the motor cable depending on its length and which can
    prematurely damage both the motor winding and the inverter itself
  • improve the efficiency of the engine and reduce its heating
  • reduce electromagnetic interference in the surrounding environment

There are two basic types of output filters:

  • dV / dt filters: for motor cables up to 150 m (PWM = 2.5 kHz)
  • sine filters: for motor cables up to 400 m (PWM = 4 kHz) or for suppression
    electromagnetic interference.

Output filters are offered with IP00 or IP23 protection. Degree of protection IP54 is available on request.
